Edward Goldenberg Robinson was born Emanuel Goldenberg on December 12, , in Bucharest, Romania. In , Robinson’s family immigrated to New York City. He appeared in 30 Broadway plays,[1] and more than films, during a year career,[2] and is best remembered for his tough-guy roles as gangsters in such films as Little Caesar and Key Largo.
