The genre of this book is very dark and cold; it is filled with horror and seems to have a very gothic tone. When you use the word gothic, you think of gloom, old buildings, laboratories, and places people wouldn’t think to go. The setting of the book changes throughout the story. She takes the story to: Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, and even the Arctic. The story starts with Victor and the monster on an iceberg, somewhere near the North Pole. But most of the story is in Europe.
